28 week Bumpdate: Welcome to Third Trimester!

I can't believe how fast this all is going. Second trimester held a lot of fun and a ton of changes for our family. But let's just take a moment and appreciate how much this little baby and tummy have grown:

13 weeks- when I thought my bump was so obvious ;)
28 weeks big :)

Day to day, it's hard to see the changes. But the side by side pictures sure help!
Second trimester highlights:
- Moving home to Salem!
- Finding our awesome birth team at Belle Vie
- Finding out we are having a little girl and picking out her name!
- Joseph feeling her move for the first time
- Picking out a nursery theme/colors and getting to start that in my brain
- Moving into our perfect, God-given apartment and starting to nest

Praise be to God for the simplicity that this trimester has held. We are so amazed and awe struck at all of what is coming to be this year for all 3 of us.

This week..
Total Weight Gain: We'll have to check in next week when I actually get batteries for our scale..
Symptoms: My lower back is getting more achy. And I'm pretty sure my hips are getting wider.. Making room for baby!
Size of the baby:  14.5 " long and 2.2 lbs. Baby E's immune system is ramping up to take on this world, along with her lungs being basically developed. Also, she's putting on a fat layer.. which may explain the specificity of my cravings?
Sleep: I've needed a lot of it this week.
Best Moment Last Week: Moving into our place! It is so darling, and I cannot describe how good it feels to have a little place of our own. :)
Movement: Still going strong.

Cravings: Everything! It has been a seriously hungry week. Would love lots of cream based or cheese based things (Soups, casseroles, queso, etc). And muffins and scones. But, still cruising on with healthy choices and just a few of those cravings inter-dispersed here and there :)

But seriously, how does everything in the world taste SO GOOD?! (eating the most flavorful frozen blueberries as I type)
What I Miss: Cool weather.
What am I looking forward to: An afternoon on the water tomorrow. Sunshine, boating, and wind = summer perfection.
Milestones: It's official. None of my non maternity clothes fit. Either circumference or length or both. When I realized this Friday morning, I had a moment of panic. Not just 4 weeks ago I told Joseph that I thought I could make it through until October and probably the whole pregnancy without any more clothes. I hadn't budgeted for just how much my tummy would change.

But God is so good! He knows our needs before we do. That same afternoon I went to see a friend for a visit and she asked if I wanted to borrow some of her maternity clothes. I came home with a whole new wardrobe! Thank you Sarah!

How is Daddy? Out on a solo backpacking night tonight. Got to get them in before the weather gets too cold!
